System Requirements
The minimum system requirements for BugZap are:
-
3.8 MB hard disk space (1.2 MB for the GEM framework, which is
used as an installation and configuration engine, and further 2.6
MB for BugZap Core component).
-
64 MB of memory.
-
Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista. Although BugZap will work on Windows 98 and Windows ME (provided all other system requirements are met), the help system will not.
-
Microsoft .NET framework 2.0.
Depending on the number of optional BugZap extensions installed and on
the size of a bug database, the recommended system requirements may vary;
however, the following configuration has been found to be sufficient for
quite large projects:
-
10 MB hard disk space.
-
256 MB of memory.
-
Windows NT 4.0 sp6, Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista.
-
Microsoft .NET framework 2.0.
Note that many BugZap components are specifically written to provide
integration with third-party software products; for example, a MS Word
Report Generator has been specifically tailored to generate bug reports
in MS Word format using MS Word OLE facilities. Naturally, for such
components to work the corresponding third-party software needs to be
installed and operational in addition to the basic system requirements.
